A friend is starting up a coffee service in Baltimore and needed an identity that captures his fun approach to the business. He named the company after his grandfather who has passed away so I knew it meant a lot to him to have something special. His grandfather was very much into fixing cars and he knew he wanted a car service character to represent the business so I took some initial ideas he had and ran with them. We worked through and few iterations, some that had an additional number of things going on, but we paired it down and I think came up with a solid, clean design that will be instantly recognizable.
